Our Mission
Our mission is to showcase independent content from around the world and provide creators with a premium window on 4thground.com and VIDO TV. A core objective of VIDO TV is to empower content creators to monetize their work through TVOD while retaining full ownership of their content.
Premiere & Exhibition
All Official Selections will receive a worldwide online premiere during the festival dates. Following the festival, selected titles will be made available for TVOD rental on 4thground.com / VIDO TV.
Terms & Licensing
- This is a non-exclusive license agreement.
- Creators retain 100% ownership of their content and all underlying rights.
- Creators have full control to set their own TVOD pricing and windowing.
- Revenue share terms and the full license agreement are available for review HERE
Delivery Requirements
Content Creators of accepted projects will be required to deliver exhibition materials prior to platform launch. This may include: final exhibition file, preview clip, posters, stills, synopsis, cast & crew credits, closed captions, and executed license agreement. Full technical specifications will be provided upon selection.
1. ELIGIBILITY
- Open to All: Filmmakers worldwide. Professionals and students welcome.
- All Genres Accepted: Narrative, Documentary, Animation, Experimental, Student Film, Web Series / Episodic, Reality, Comedy, Drama, Thriller, Horror, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Romance, Action, Adventure, Family / Kids, Faith & Spirituality, Sports, LGBTQ+, Social Impact, Cultural, Travel, Food, More.
- All Formats & Lengths Accepted:
- Short Form: Under 15 minutes
- Mid-Length: 15 – 40 minutes
- Feature Length: 40+ minutes
- Series / Episodic: 10 – 60 minutes per episode
- Premiere Status: No restrictions. World, International, Regional, and Online Premieres all accepted.
- Prior Distribution: We accept content regardless of prior festival run, broadcast, or online release.
2. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

- Materials Required: All films/content must include English subtitles.
- Rights: Submitter must own or control all rights to the submitted work.
- Multiple Entries: Filmmakers may submit more than one project.
- Incomplete Submissions: Will not be considered.
3. SELECTION & EXHIBITION
- Notification: Selected filmmakers will be notified via email.
- Festival Screening: All Official Selections will receive at least one public online screening during the festival.
- Platform Exhibition: By submitting and upon selection, you agree that your film will be made available for TVOD rental on 4thground.com and the VIDO TV platform following the festival.
- Programming: The festival reserves the right to program films in the most appropriate category.
4. LICENSING & MONETIZATION
- License Agreement: This is a non-exclusive license agreement.
- Ownership: Filmmaker retains 100% ownership of all rights in and to the film.
- Monetization Model: TVOD - Transactional Video On Demand. Creators retain full control to set their own pricing and windowing for rental.
- Revenue Share: Revenue share terms are outlined in the License Agreement.
- Delivery: Selected filmmakers will be required to provide exhibition materials prior to launch including final master, preview clip/trailer, key art, stills, synopsis, credits, and executed license agreement.
